How This Healing Happens
We all want a fulfilling life. On our way to fulfilling our dreams we run into challenges, or inner battles, which create pressure. Some pressure creates healthy resistance within us, and we become stronger to meet the pressure. When pressure becomes greater than our natural response to meet it, it may become stress. Our bodies can take surprising amounts of stress and survive; yet we would prefer to do more than survive, we would like to thrive.
We need to support our system to overcome the cumulative effects of daily stress, or more serious changes in our system. We need to rest and rejuvenate, then to become stronger, more supple and aware. In deep relaxation, our body begins self-healing, much like when we sleep, but the effect is deeper. Our systems begin to recover naturally, and we rebuild inner strength. Gradually, the movements bring suppleness to the body and ease the mind. This restful states supports optimal functioning and promotes self healing.
Beth’s touch is gentle so the body’s natural defenses will relax. She uses very small movements to reach every part of the body, allowing the body’s natural fluids to flow easily through a tight area. This is deep touch and movement: to let the heal completely, profoundly.
